The approximately eight km long mountain range in the Bavarian Forest is about 40 minutes by car from the Bergknappenhof wellness hotel near Neukirchen beim Heiligen Blut. The area is made up of the following peaks: Burgstall (976 m), Bärenriegel (1017 m), Eckstein (1073 m), Schwarzriegel (1079 m) and Ahornriegel (1050 m). Not only in summer, but also in winter you will find a variety of attractions here that will make your heart beat faster. For example, you can take the longest double chairlift in the Bavarian Forest to the summit of Hohenbogen (1079 m) and enjoy the wonderful view of the neighboring mountains:

Grosser Arber, Osser, Kaitersberg. With 16 banked curves and a length of 750 meters, you'll whizz down the mountain on the summer toboggan run. Racing cars and quads offer fun for children that your little ones won't forget. You'll work up a sweat on the fun and skating track; equipment can, of course, be rented on-site. The Nautic-Jet water slide offers a welcome cooling off, especially on hot days. A highlight for the adult guests of the Hotel Bergknappenhof will surely be the so-called Bullracer and the Hillracer-Cross. The Bullracer is a grass kart, a three-wheeler with perfect technology that you can use to ski down the slope. Of course, safety is our top priority, and all our karts are TÜV-tested. The Hillracer-Cross is also a vehicle that you can use to tackle the ski slopes in summer. This is a summer sled that is steered by shifting your weight and using your legs. Those who prefer a more peaceful setting can hike one of the wonderful tours and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Even in winter, the High arch to linger. Ski slopes with easy to difficult descents, also floodlit, promise unforgettable hours. The 700 m long winter toboggan run can be used during the day as well as floodlit (only traditional wooden sledges). You will find ski rental, ski schools and of course cross-country ski trails here.
