A popular destination for young and old is the Churpfalzpark Loifling, in the Upper Palatinate.

The approximately 45 km from the Hotel Bergknappenhof can be driven via Teisnach, Viechtach and Miltach in about 42 minutes. In the summer months it is open continuously from 09:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. (opening times from 10:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.), in the winter months only on weekends and depending on the weather. You can stroll through various themed gardens, such as the Mexican Garden, Summer Garden, Palm Garden, Maze or the Garden of Beautiful Melody.

Here you can see a wide variety of flowers and plants, with water features or fountains built in between (tip: don't forget your swimwear). For the younger guests of the Wellness Hotel Bergknappenhof there is a baby carousel, a swan ride, a water carousel or a mirror labyrinth. An electronic puppet theater invites you to linger. You are sure to have fun on the gemstone treasure hunt. A highlight for the little ones is the playground with the large Lego bricks. You can explore the park with the Rimini Express park train. If you love action and fun, then you should try the high-speed rafting slide, ride the wild water ride or the wave flyer. Have you always wanted to be a pirate? Then fire from cannon barrels in the Pirate Battle of the Caribbean, but watch out for your opponent! In the bungee trampoline facility you can try out various jumps, secured with a belt. Bumper cars in different sizes offer a welcome change for all ages. If you get a little hungry between meals, there is plenty to do. In 2016, the park is celebrating its 45th anniversary. The park was awarded the most beautiful flower and adventure park in 2009. Dogs up to 12 kg are allowed in a bag or crate.
